I have missed blogging and I hope you’ve missed me too because as long as this urge lasts you’re stuck with me. Photography has almost always been a part of my SL and lately I have seen some really great pieces and I so desperately want to learn the techniques to make better images. Any tips or tutorial links in the comments are much appreciated.
Most of what I am wearing is from the current March 2014 “Back to Business” round of Collabor 88. Credits are available after the cut.
After a break from blogging for awhile, I’m back! I’ve been uninspired of late, but this new mesh dress from Hucci inspired me with the pretty blue hues. I decided to pair the blue with purple and blue punches from my accessories. I hope you love this look as much as I do!
This look was inspired by the lovely jacket from d. Select that reminds me of one of my treasured possessions is an old quilted jacket. I was lucky to have known my great-grandparents, and even luckier to have two of my great-grandparents still alive and well into advanced age. Anyway, my great-grandmother, whom we lovely called Big Mamma, was a seamstress at times. She had this tradition that she handmade a quilt each time a grandchild got married. She passed away before I received my quilt. Continue reading →
As you can probably tell from my posts, I really love skins. I especially love trying out skins from brands on the rise. Filthy Skins have been getting tons of coverage of late from the blogs, but because I primarily wear tan and dark skins I stayed away from them because they had a bit too much red undertones for my taste. The newest skin, Jolie, however impressed me so much that I photographed myself in pale tones, something that I never do.
The Body Shop is a relatively new skin shop with a small but growing inventory that shows promise. The skin I’m showing today, Vania, is one of the newest skin available, and its a beauty. Continue reading →
It all started with the gorgeous maxi skirts from G Field. Mariah showed up with the purple version, which prompted Vernice to get yellow version. Our new team member Katelynn (you will be seeing more of her soon) then proceeded to pull out the yellow version. We all styled out skirts different ways according to our own personal styles and had an impromptu photoshoot in Vernice’s backyard. Impromptu photos sometimes make for the best pictures.
I change skins constantly, but sometimes a skin grabs me so hard that I cannot let it go. Currently, that skin is Curio’s May. You cannot go wrong with any of the gorgeous faces at Curio, but I just could not resist the youthful and spring like face. Continue reading →
Christiane is the newest face to the ever growing CandyDoll skin line. If there were an award for most improved skin line inSL, CandyDoll will no doubt win it. Although I have been a big fan of designer’s rebeca Dembo’s skin line from the beginning, her latest work shows her evolution as a skin maker.
Just a little reminder that CHIC Limited is underway! The event runs from April 16th through April 30 and this month’s theme is Cherry Blossoms. There are tons of cuteness there, so much so that I couldn’t decide what to show. I wanted to showcase all of it but my limited time only allows for a taste. Anyway, make sure you drag your behinds over there and look at all the nice stuff from all the talented designers involved.
