This look was inspired by the lovely jacket from d. Select that reminds me of one of my treasured possessions is an old quilted jacket. I was lucky to have known my great-grandparents, and even luckier to have two of my great-grandparents still alive and well into advanced age. Anyway, my great-grandmother, whom we lovely called Big Mamma, was a seamstress at times. She had this tradition that she handmade a quilt each time a grandchild got married. She passed away before I received my quilt. Continue reading
I remember my very first days in SL. I found this magical place that played Jazz 24/7 in a beautiful ballroom. I wasn’t allowed in, however, because I didn’t have on a ballgown. I waited until I could muster up the lindens needed to buy a pretty ballgown and for about six months I lived on the ballroom floor dancing the days and nights away. These days I have no real need to wear ballgowns, but I simply cannot resist a beautiful full dress. This very lovely dress and couture hat from Agnes Finney fits the bill and makes me feel like the belle of the ball, wherever the ball may be. Continue reading
Are you fashionably late? Starting today at 4PM, you will be. The team behind the many successful fashion events of late brings to you a whole new experience. Along with a brand new and gorgeous sim, CHIC Management is presenting a new shopping event, Fashionably Late. Each week the resident designers, a very impressive list of the hottest SL designers, along with a special guest will make an item available to you at outlet prices. I’m giving you just a little sneak peak of the loveliness available from Fishy Strawberry and Ivalde. Trust me, once you see everything that’s available this week, you will love every bit of it! Make sure you arrive to the opening of Fashionably Late on time!
Today I bring you one of the latest beautiful faces from Curio. Summer lives up to her name, a youthful face that reminds me of summers spent in Florida at beachside. I’m showing it in Acorn, but Summer comes in all of the yummy tones Gala is known for, Moonbeam, Petal, Sundust Acorn and Bean with two versions of each tone.
I’m not one for self promotion very often but after I completed these shoes for an outfit I created for my brand, Baby Couture, I just had to style them with the TOSL item available this week at Blacklace.
The shoes are available today only for just 50L at Baby Couture and the Blacklace set will be available for this week at the cost of 199L
The panties that come with the set make for a perfect evening look when the lights go down and you’re cuddled up with that special someone. I’ve paired the evening look with some hot pink Saffron Pumps from Lelutka. These shoes really are classic and if you go to the store you’ll see they come in a wide array of colors both bold and soft colors.

One day I’m gonna pack my bags and head to Europe. How wonderful would that be? Surrounded by such old world beauty and wearing high fashion clothes is the high life for me. Then I realize that my Italian is non-existent and my French is horrid. Good thing I can run off to Italy anytime in SL.
Much to the horror of my family, friends and my ever-loving boyfriend, the HUB decided to bring back Jem and the Holograms to television. This has caused quite a ruckus around the Urriah-Republic household, as I’ve taken to wearing tons of neon colors and singing to the top of my lungs. Who didn’t want to be a rock star when they were six? Today I took my 80’s rockstar look to Battery Park to partake in the gorgeousness around. Rockstars like art, right?
Typically we post clothing and skins here but today I’m going to break the unwritten rules. I bought this pose from Glitterati some time ago but hadn’t gotten to use it until last night. This is probably my favorite pose that I have in my inventory. It is comfortable and looks so natural.
I mostly wanted to post this photo to share the pose but also the image. When I started blogging it was because I take tons of photos and I never do anything with them more than upload them to Flickr. Blogging was a way to “show off” some of what I do from shopping for clothing and hair to poses and the obvious, taking photos.

It all started with the gorgeous maxi skirts from G Field. Mariah showed up with the purple version, which prompted Vernice to get yellow version. Our new team member Katelynn (you will be seeing more of her soon) then proceeded to pull out the yellow version. We all styled out skirts different ways according to our own personal styles and had an impromptu photoshoot in Vernice’s backyard. Impromptu photos sometimes make for the best pictures.
I change skins constantly, but sometimes a skin grabs me so hard that I cannot let it go. Currently, that skin is Curio’s May. You cannot go wrong with any of the gorgeous faces at Curio, but I just could not resist the youthful and spring like face.
